Ain’t She Sweet

March 26, 2009

(*25 May 09: Update on Artisan Sweets! Click here)

Doing a little plug for a friend of mine from church, Eileen =)

At the time of my wedding, Eileen was actually one of the pastry chefs at the hotel where we had our banquet. Soon after, she decided to go out on her own, and she set up a little online store called ET Artisan Sweets. She does wonderful macarons, cakes and other yummy things, and she’s also real nice, so I definitely recommend giving her your business!

I also just found out that she’s opening a physical store next week, at 32 Holland Grove Road, opposite Henry Park Primary.  Besides her pastries, she’ll also be selling Valrhona chocolate, Elle et Vire cream and other high quality baking goods.

Now for some pictures. Here’s a box of macarons we ordered from her at Christmas. Isn’t her packaging pretty….

And here are the Christmas-colored macarons (half of them were gone by the time we took this picture =). Absolutely dee-lish!

YES …i definitely will go to her shop and buy a box to try! Hsiao Mien show me the webpage and the pix makes me salivate 🙂 So far, I feel the macarons in singapore are not that flavourful. so i wonder if hers is great but the pix does make me want to eat them up!

During my recent trip to tokyo, I tried a few and boy they were great! so rich in flavour. bursting it in….ohhhhh…i miss tokyo dessert!!!!
